In the creative state a man is taken out of himself. He lets down as it were a bucket into his subconscious, and draws up something which is normally beyond his reach. He mixes this thing with his normal experiences and out of the mixture he makes a work of art.

Nellie Jacobs is an award-winning painter who has participated in juried, group, and one-woman shows.
Nellie's vibrantly colourful paintings cover an eclectic range of styles and subject matter - from realism to abstract.
As an art major in the 60's, Nellie was one of two students chosen from her high school to study with Aba Bayefsky at the Ontario College of Art in . Since that time, she has studied with many distinguished artists/instructors.
